We only recommend extraction when it is genuinely the best option for your child’s health, having exhausted all possible alternatives first. When a tooth does need to come out, our team uses thorough numbing and gentle technique to make the procedure as quick and pain-free as possible. Sedation is available for children who need additional comfort throughout the process.

Once the tooth is removed, we fit a custom space maintainer that holds the gap open and keeps surrounding teeth from shifting while the permanent tooth develops. We monitor the maintainer at regular checkups and remove it when the permanent tooth is ready to come in naturally and correctly.
